College cross country: Moore, St. Olaf qualify for nationals

Former Worthington High School cross country standout Meredith Moore and the St. Olaf women's cross country team has earned an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championships Saturday in Louisville, Ky.

Former Worthington High School cross country standout Meredith Moore and the St. Olaf women’s cross country team has earned an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championships Saturday in Louisville, Ky.

St. Olaf earned first place at the NCAA Central Region Championships at the Carleton Upper Arboretum, in a battle between five teams ranked in the top 35 in the nation. The Oles scored 19 points to out-pace runner-up Nebraska Wesleyan (110) and third-place St. Thomas (112).

Moore placed 47th in the competition in a time of 23:51.4.
