WAHPETON, N.D. -- The Minnesota West Community and Technical College football team lost on the road to North Dakota State College of Science Saturday, 28-7.
NDSCS led 15-0 at halftime and held on. West's only score came in the third quarter as quarterback Frank Cromer passed 15 yards to Terryon Bumpus for a score. Caleb Tinklenberg kicked the PAT.
The North Dakota school rolled with the running game, rushing for 355 yards on 53 carries. The Wildcats passed for 31 yards.
Minnesota West passed for 209 yards but attempted 17 rushes for just 17 yards. Cromer completed 17 of 34 passes for 209 yards with three interceptions. Reginald Colson III, who led the nation in yards receiving last year, caught just two for 52 yards.
West is 2-2 on the season.
