ROCHESTER -- Minnesota West Community and Technical College entered seven wrestlers in the Rochester Community College Yellowjacket Open on Saturday, allowing the Bluejays some valuable early-season experience.
At 125, Keon Naranjo, an unattached redshirt, wrestled two matches and lost both. Also at 125 pounds, Hser Eh Pwae went 1-2.
At 133 pounds, Hser Moo Pwae was 1-2 with a fall.
At 174 pounds, Jared Loberg went 0-2. And also at 174, Zach Rucktaeschel went 0-2.

Minnesota West’s King Blanchette was 1-2 at 197 pounds. And heavyweight Trent Rogich was 1-2 with a fall.
The Pwae brothers, and Blanchette, are former Worthington Trojans.
“We didn’t wrestle well, but I saw a lot of positives,” said West head coach Bryan Cowdin. “It’s a young season. We have work to do. I thought Blanchette had a great day although he lost some close matches. He wrestled well and created many opportunities to win, but came up short.”
