MARSHALL -- Amanda Overgaauw of Murray County Central/Fulda and Fanuel Wolday of Worthington won individual titles Monday at a high school cross country meet in Marshall.

Overgaauw won the girls varsity race in 17:49.9 and Wolday won the boys race in 16:57.3.

Kaylee Walklin of Windom Area was third in the girls event, in a time of 19:04.2. Ashley Overgaauw was fourth. Brylei Schreier, another MCC/F runner, was 15th. Nicole Wede of Worthington was the first Trojan to finish, coming in at 24:22.5.

The Worthington boys got a fourth-place finish from Alec Langerud, who ran it it 17:28.3. Trojan Ofbeka Morke was ninth in 17:44.5. Trojans Mason Bobb was 12th and Filmon Wolday 13th.

The Worthington boys had 39 team points for first place. Next were Marshall and Canby-Minneota with 73, Redwood Valley 86, Windom Area 109, Pipestone Area 161 and MCC/F 168.

Marshall won the girls team title with 45 points, followed by Canby-Minneota 56, MCC/F 64, Redwood Valley 106, Pipestone Area 107, Windom Area 185, Worthington 197, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 213 and Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 226.
