Edgerton girls drub Renville County West 65-28

MARSHALL — Eight Flying Dutchmen scored Tuesday as Edgerton Public School defeated Renville County West 65-28 in a girls basketball game played at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
Alyda Vande Griend scored 27 points and also pulled down 13 rebounds. Her sister, Reese Vande Griend, had 12 rebounds. Elliott Fleischman scored 13 points.

The Worthington Trojans boys basketball team played exceptional defense against Canistota, surrendering a mere 11 points in the first half.

The Dutchmen had 16 steals, led by Fleischman who had four. Reese Vande Griend and Mateya Gilberton both had three steals.
Savannah Schultz and Brenalyn Smit both had three assists for the 3-2 Dutchmen.
