WINDOM -- The Fairmont Cardinals edged Windom Area by a point, hitting two free throws with five seconds remaining after an off-the-ball foul committed by the Eagles.
Windom Area played without its outstanding ball distributor and scorer Henry Erickson, who is nursing a sprained ankle. Thus, the taller Cardinals used their height well and disrupted the Eagles’ vaunted fast-paced offensive style.
