Gymnastics: JCC flirts with 140

DAILY GLOBE MARSHALL -- Brooklyn Schuett and Haley Bass led the Jackson County Central Huskies gymnastics team to a 139.8 to 111.1 victory over host Marshall Monday.Schuett and Bass tied for first place in the vaulting competition with 9.125 scores.

MARSHALL - Brooklyn Schuett and Haley Bass led the Jackson County Central Huskies gymnastics team to a 139.8 to 111.1 victory over host Marshall Monday.
Schuett and Bass tied for first place in the vaulting competition with 9.125 scores. Schuett was first on the floor exercise (9.125) and Bass won on the uneven parallel bars (8.75).
The Huskies also got a first-place finish by Abby Schneekloth on balance beam (9.425).
Bass was second on beam (8.8). Schneekloth was second on bars (8.65), second on floor (8.95) and third on vault (8.85) en route to a first-place score in the all-around competition, with a 35.975.
Schuett had a next-best 34.375 score in the all-around.
JCC’s Sophie Johnson was third on beam (8.425), Hachelle Carson was third on bars (8.275) and Hailey Handevidt third on floor (8.65).
