Gymnastics: Windom Area tops Blue Earth Area

WINDOM - Miki Bolin won the vault (9.025) and balance beam (8.8) competitions Tuesday to help Windom Area to a 134.6 to 116.975 victory over Blue Earth Area in high school gymnastics.
Bolin earned seconds on the uneven parallel bars (7.85) and floor exercise (9.225) en route to a winning score in the all-around (34.9).
Windom Area swept the first and second spots in every event. Megan Theesfeld won the bars event with a 7.9 and Hannah Kloss took first in the floor exercise with a 9.25. Theesfeld was also second in the vault (8.65) and Kloss was second on the beam (8.65).
Kloss, who tied for third with Blue Earth Area’s Haley Resutek with a 7.65 on the bars, placed second in the all-around with a 34.0 score. Theesfeld added a third place finish on floor (8.55) and was third in the all-around with 32.475. Teammates Maria Carlson was third on vault with an 8.6 and Amy Muller third on beam with an 8.4.
