HL-O/F, MCC beaten in boys basketball


MACCRAY defeated Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda 81-79 and Sleepy Eye St. Mary's beat Murray County Central 71-45 in boys basketball contests on Friday.

HL-O/F put four players in double figures in its loss to MACCRAY at Wabasso. Tyler Madison and Zach Thier scored 19 points apiece while Eli Fest scored 15 and Trevor King 10. MACCRAY led 49-34 at halffime.

Sleepy Eye St. Mary's got 18 points from Carson Domeier, 14 from Blake Steffensmeier, 13 from Nick Labat and 11 from Trent Steffensmeier in its win over MCC. The Rebels were led by Trevor Ackerman with 15. Tyler Winter had 12 points and Kyler Deacon had three assists and five rebounds.
