MARSHALL -- Anna Fest of Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda won three individual events at a Monday track and field meet featuring Worthington, HL-O/F, Central Christian and host Marshall.
Fest won the girls 100-meter hurdles (17.88), the 300-meter hurdles (52.13) and the high jump (4-11). Teammate Morgan Gehl won the 800-meter run in 2:21.01.
Worthington did well in both boys and girls events, as evidenced by the final team standings. The WHS girls finished first as a team, with 85 points, compared to Marshall's 79, HL-O/F's 52 and Central Christian's 40. For the boys, it was Marshall with 95, Worthington 86, HL-O/F 45 and Central Christian 39.
Worthington's Jeikgoy Wiel won the boys 400-meter run in 55.81. Mikele Walu was the winner in the 800-meter run (2:03.24) and Mason Bobb won the 3,200-meter run (11.08.48). Abagotte Opiew won both the long jump (20-2.25) and the triple jump (44-1.75). Wiel, Mak Lia, Walu and Opiew teamed up to capture the 4 x 200-meter relay in 1:36.74.
Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda's Zach Thier won the shot put in 45-1 and the discus in 117-0.

Brooklyn Scheitel-Taylor continued her strong spring for the Worthington girls, winning the triple jump in 35-8 and the 200-meter dash in 27.34. She also teamed with Ivy Jenson, Bailey Newman and Nedoh Gyi to win the 4 x 100-meter relay in 52.66.
Jenson won the long jump by going 16-10. Kadence Hyvari won the discus with a throw of 89-6.5. Newman won the 100-meter dash in 13.67. Trojans Addison Gerber, Newyouman Gora, Saleen Thepmontry and Jenson won the 4 x 200-meter relay in 1:54.47.
