Prep hockey: Trojan girls win behind Fogelman; boys fall to Morris/Benson

BENSON -- Sophomore forward Ashton Fogelman continued her hot hand on Saturday as the Worthington Trojans girls hockey team outplayed host Morris/Benson 6-2.

Fogelman had a hat trick in the game, which amounted to 10 goals scored in her last three games.

In the boys game, Morris/Benson beat Worthington 5-3 by outscoring the Trojans 4-1 in the third period.

Fogelman scored the only goal of the first quarter. Worthington outscored the hosts 3-1 in the second period as Madisyn Shreiner, Kory Nickel and Hannah Barrie each scored goals. Fogelman put the last two WHS goals in the net in the third period.

"The girls played very well. They moved the puck quite easily today, made some nice passes," said Trojans head coach Chad Nickel, who made a couple of personnel switches to improve the efficiency of the lines.
