Iowa prep softball: Harris-Lake Park advances; Sibley-Ocheyedan falls

LAKE PARK, Iowa - Harris-Lake Park saw its season live on Monday when it took a thrilling win the first round of the Class 1A-Region 1 Tournament.
The Wolves managed to defeat Storm Lake-St. Mary’s 10-9 to move on to the second round. There, they’ll meet up with River Valley at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Correctionville.
Sibley-Ocheyedan saw its season come to an end with a 16-6 loss to Western Christian in the first round of the Class 2A-Region 1 Tournament.
The Generals finish the season 4-19 and graduate four seniors: Maddie Lonneman, Erin Swenson, Jessica Loerts and Tayler Wasmund.
