Jackson built up a solid lead, then held on.
"This is the way we like to win games — get up by six to nine runs," said head coach Blaise Jacobsen. "Today was eight, late in the game, and then slowly let the other team creep back in. Then that's where we hang on for dear life and get one last boost to win."
Logan Butzon started for Jackson on the pitcher's mound and got help from Andrew Boyum before Trace Michelson finished up.
Bryson Powers hit a big double late in the game. Big early hits from Brenan Runge and Damien Phaly helped the winners produce early rallies.
