JACKSON -- Despite the late start to the season, the Jackson County Central golf teams picked up where they left off last season -- beating the Worthington Trojan boys and girls Monday afternoon in a Southwest Conference tangle.
Scott Benson turned in a medalist round of 40 to pace the JCC boys to a 179 team total, while the Trojans scored 224.
Evan Sieler and Tanner Asa each posted a round of 46 for the Huskies, while Tyler Asa finished with 47 to round out the team total. Teammates Pat Garvin and Micah Weigelt finished with rounds of 48 and 55, respectively.
The Trojan boys were paced by Brady Barrie's round of 49. Ryan Radloff was second for the Trojans with 55, while Scott Simpson and Joe Christensen shot rounds of 59 and 61, respectively. Ethan Peterson shot a 63, while David Bristow posted a 73.
On the girls' side, JCC's Emily Marker shot a medalist round of 49 to lead the Huskies to a total of 209, while the Trojans shot 241 on the day.

Marker was followed by Briel Hendrickson with a 51, while Kaylee Benson and Rachel Hanson finished with rounds of 52 and 57, respectively, completing the team score. Karlee Schneekloth posted a round of 60, and Erika Voss shot a 62.
The Trojans were led by Meghan Westendorf's round of 54. Meagan Meier followed with a 59, while Kendall Spartz and Leigh Van Hove each shot a 64 on the day. Allison Jaycox and Jenn Scholtes shot 69 and 75, respectively.
The Huskies host Marshall today, while the Trojans host Luverne.
Boys MCW 161, Windom 164
WINDOM -- The Mavericks edged the Eagles Monday on the back of medalist Jarvis Weber's round of 36. Tom Wilson and Josh Ellanson each posted 41, while Levi Anderson rounded out the team score with a 43.
The Eagles were paced by Jordan Stahl's round of 38. Tate Hindvall was second with a 40, while Hunter Johnson and Jared Heger finished with rounds of 42 and 44, respectively.
SWC 194, RL-B 201
LAKE PARK, Iowa -- Despite a medalist round of 44 from Erik Bourquin, the Raiders were edged by the visiting Eagles Monday afternoon.

Dustin Oberloh and Kaiser DeKam paced the Eagles with rounds of 45 each, while Phillip Feikema and Brandon Huisken finished with 52 apiece.
Tim Haberman followed Bourquin with a round of 46. Craig Correll and Kyle Wendland shot 53 and 58, respectively, completing the team score.
RL-B visits SSC today at Lakefield.
Girls Windom 198, MCW 227
WINDOM -- The Eagle girls held up their end of the bargain Monday, as Casey Christensen posted a medalist round of 45 to pace Windom. Sabrina Bolin added a 47, while April Buhler and Laura Voth each shot 532 to round out the team score.
The Mavericks were led by Sarah Manzey's round of 46. Reilly Olson followed with a 58, while Taylor and Ask Rachel Aborn posted rounds of 61 and 62, respectively.
