JCC sweeps MCW in volleyball

Monday high school volleyball roundup:
JCC 3, MCW 0
JACKSON — The host Jackson County Central high school volleyball team beat Martin County West in three straight games on Monday, 25-13, 25-14, 25-14.
JCC is 14-8 on the season with Worthington coming to town on Tuesday (Oct. 11).
Emma Haren had 13 kills and was 10-for-11 serving with three aces for the Huskies Monday. Teammate Maci Farmer had 32 set assists and was 19-for-20 serving with two aces. Andrea Benson and Peyton Hanson had eight kills apiece.
Luverne 3, SWC 2
LUVERNE — It doesn't get any closer than the Southwest Christian/Luverne volleyball match on Monday. Luverne took it in five sets, 26-24, 25-13, 20-25, 16-25, 18-16.
For Southwest Christian, Madyson Fey had 12 kills, Makenna Moss had three blocks and Ana Veldkamp had 31 set assists.
Pipestone Area 3, MCC 0
SLAYTON — Pipestone Area swept Murray County Central in three sets.
For MCC, Morgan Winter had four kills, Jaelen Barstad had 17 digs and Casey Miller chimed in with 10 set assists.
