ROCHESTER — The host Rochester Yellowjackets women's softball team defeated Minnesota West twice on Tuesday, 2-0 and 13-5.
The Lady Jays got just three hits in the opener: a double by Macie Werdel, and singles by Steph Kazemba and Torrence Clelland.

Julia Schmoker was the losing pitcher, allowing eight hits while walking five and striking out three.
In the second game, Clelland and Emily Wilke both drove in two runs for the Jays. Clelland hit a home run.
Schmoker went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI.
Kazemba was the losing pitcher.
