Lady Jays tip Ridgewater 3-0

Minnesota West is on the road again on Friday, taking on Century College. The Lady Jays return home for an 11 a.m. match Saturday against Anoka-Ramsey.

WILLMAR -- The Minnesota West college volleyball team defeated host Ridgewater 3-0 on Wednesday, getting a balanced effort on the way.

ST. JAMES — Emma Haren had 20 kills to help Jackson County Central to a 3-0 high school volleyball win over host St. James Area Monday night.
WORTHINGTON — Getting balanced play, the Minnesota West Community and Technical College volleyball team rolled past visiting St. Cloud Tech Friday night, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-20.

Kennedy Buckneberg produced nine kills and 15 digs in the match. Dannyn Peterson had five kills and 10 digs and Kiarra Danielson added seven kills, 12 digs and 10 set assists. Courtney Moser had 14 set assists.

The Lady Jays went 1-1 in a meet at Iowa Lakes Community College on Monday, beating Dakota State JV 3-1 and losing to Iowa Lakes 1-3.

In the DSU win, Moser had 21 set assists, Danielson 10 set assists and eight kills, Sami Polzin 15 digs and 23-of-25 serving with three aces, Buckneberg 14 digs and 13 kills, and Peterson six kills and 15-for-15 serving with one ace.

In the Iowa Lakes loss, Moser had 12 set assists, Danielson had 10 set assists, 11 digs and six kills, Polzin had 19 digs, Buckneberg had eight kills and Hattie DeVries had two blocks.
