Lake Shetek Area chapter of Let's Go Fishing expanding its mission

Board members of the Lake Shetek chapter of Let's Go Fishing want to make community members aware that they too can schedule outings on the handicap accessible pontoon.

Board members of the Lake Shetek chapter of Let’s Go Fishing want to make community members aware that they too can schedule outings on the handicap accessible pontoon.
When the chapter first began, its focus was on residents of nursing homes and assisted living centers. While the Lake Shetek chapter will always consider them an important group, the pontoon is available for other groups, too.
Other groups that have scheduled outings are book clubs, Lion’s Club members, Red Hat Ladies, Bible study groups, family celebration-birthday party or anniversaries. Maybe you and your fishing group are no longer able to deal with work of getting a boat or pontoon to the lake; LGF volunteers would love to provide an afternoon of fishing.
Pontoon rides on area lakes are free to seniors, veterans, the disabled and their families. Outings can be fishing trips or cruises. The pontoon is handicap accessible/seats can be removed to accommodate wheelchairs (no power chairs). There is a 12 guest maximum per ride/fewer for fishing trips. All rods, reels and bait are provided by LGF.
To schedule an outing on Lake Shetek contact Ricke Bly at Rickeann64@gmail.com or 507-828-8331.
