LUVERNE -- Windom boys' basketball team senior Travis Mattson recorded his 1,000th career point on Feb. 17 in a game against the Luverne Cardinals.

Mattson entered the game with 999 career points and scored eight points in the game to surpass the milestone. The Eagles won the game 56-42.

Mattson is the third player in team history to reach 1,000 points and is third on the Windom all-time scoring list behind Michael Johnson and teammate Jake Holt.
