MCC football team clobbers St. James

Junior halfback Carter Benda rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns as unbeaten Murray County Central rolled past St. James Area Saturday afternoon in an 11-man high school football game.

SLAYTON -- Junior halfback Carter Benda rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns as unbeaten Murray County Central rolled past St. James Area Saturday afternoon in an 11-man high school football game.

Junior quarterback Abe Paulzine ran for two scores as the Rebels amassed 332 rushing yards and improved to 4-0 on the season.

The MCC defense, a unit led by Christian Kuball, Kevin Garcia, Danny Blankenship and Christian Tentinger, limited St. James to -28 yards of total offense.

Also scoring touchdowns for the Rebels were Aidan Dierks, Anikan Larson and Andrew Holm.
