Minnesota West volleyball team spikes St. Cloud Tech

WORTHINGTON — Getting balanced play, the Minnesota West Community and Technical College volleyball team rolled past visiting St. Cloud Tech Friday night, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-20.

The Marshall Tigers, state champions in Class AAA, landed four players on the Big South Conference volleyball team for 2022.

Kiarra Danielson had seven kills, nine digs and 14 set assists for the Lady Jays. Kennedy Buckneberg added eight kills, 14 digs and two blocks.

Dannyn Peterson had seven digs and five kills. Sami Polzin had seven digs and six kills. Katarina Polzine contributed three kills and seven digs, and she was 16-for-16 serving with two aces.

Jaenid Torres had seven digs, Sophie Larson was 13-for-15 serving, and Courtney Moser had 13 set assists.

Minnesota West hosts MState-Fergus Falls at noon on Saturday (Oct. 1).
