MANKATO -- Host Mankato East defeated the Windom Area girls hockey team 7-0 on Monday.

The Cougars, which out-shot the Eagles 36-18, got two goals apiece from Evie Johnson and Hannah Rigdon en route to the victory. 

In other high school sports action on Monday, Luverne beat host Edgerton 67-23. There were no player statistics from the game.
