OKABENA – An eighth inning run scoring explosion pushed Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey to victory over home team Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda.

The Coyotes committed 11 errors in the game, and too many errors in the top of the eighth turned a leaky faucet into a raging open floodgate.

The Coyotes scored four runs in the first, 2 in the second, one in the fourth and two in the sixth to tie the game up at nine.

HL-O/F had a strong opportunity to add another late run to complete the game in regulation innings. They had a runner on second with one out and the top of the order to bat. But the Wolverines solved the jam and kept the Coyotes from scoring.
