MCC 11-10, HL-O/F 1-0
OKABENA -- Murray County Central took a Monday softball doubleheader from Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda 11-1 and 10-0 in Red Rock Conference play.
Amanda Muecke pitched a complete game for MCC, allowing nine hits and striking out 11. Teammate MacKenzie DeLong drove in two runs.
Faith Kazemba had three hits for HL-O/F.

In the other game, MCC scored 10 runs in the first three innings and held on. Tori Wieneke, Lily Schmahl and Muecke all had two hits.
Muecke pitched four innings and Shelby Christensen pitched the fifth for the Rebels.

Adrian at Luverne
LUVERNE -- Hannah Ver Steeg of Luverne shot a 46 and Brady Henning of Adrian shot a 40 to earn medalist honors in an Adrian-Luverne girl-boy meet.
The LHS girls finished with 199 strokes compared to Adrian’s 217. The Cardinal boys had 185 while Adrian had 189.
Ver Steeg was joined on the scoring list by teammates Anna Huisman and Paige Sandbulte, both with 50, and Brynn Thier with a 53. Alexia Kemper (48), Annika Elias (52), Madeline Wagner (58) and Gracia Elias (59) paced the Dragons.
Coy Gonnerman (42), Carter Stemper (44), Will Stegenga (49), and Cooper Arends and Jack Golla (both with 50) helped the Luverne boys’ effort. Landon Runia (48), Brock Henning (49) and Mitchell Veld (52) complemented Brady Henning’s score.
JCC at Windom Area

WINDOM -- Sutton Flatgard turned in a 38 -- one stroke better than two of his teammates -- and the Jackson County Central boys defeated Windom Area 157-188.
On the girls' side, Paige Pigman scored a medalist round of 43 as the Windom Area girls beat JCC 192-213.
Jack Brinkman and Scott Flatebo both tallied 39s to help the JCC boys, and Austin Haar was next with a 41. Tylan Porath (40), Parker Alvstad (43), Jackson Roll (51) and Nick Nolt (54) led the Windom Area boys.
Lily Mellstrom, with a 49, and Alie Ward and Sophia Nelson, both with 50, were counted in the Windom Area girls' scoring. Molly Brinkman had 50, Regan Farmer 51, and Grace Brinkman and Sydney Sadusky both had 56 for JCC's girls.
