Monday sports roundup: SWC, Windom volleyball teams roll


Monday high school volleyball:

Southwest Christian 3, RRC 1

EDGERTON -- Host Southwest Christian received solid performances from a variety of players in a four-game volleyball victory over Red Rock Central on Monday. Scores were 25-19, 10-25, 25-9, 29-27.

Hannah Pap was 16-for-17 serving with one ace and Bella Niemeyer was 15-for-16. Jazlynn Prins had 15 kills and 23 digs. Niemeyer added 10 kills.

Maren Nerem had seven ace blocks. Makenzie Snyder contributed 26 set assists and 11 digs.


Windom Area 3, MC West 0

WINDOM -- Windom Area breezed past Martin County West 25-18, 25-14 and 25-11.

Katelyn Nichols had 11 kills and two solo blocks, and was 13-for-13 serving with two aces for the Eagles. Autumn Hauge had 10 kills and was 20-for-21 serving with six aces.

Halle Jackson and Reegan Elder had 11 and 10 set assists, respectively.
