Morris drops Pipestone Area in Section 3AA boys basketball championship

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta overcame a halftime deficit to top Pipestone Area 57-49 Friday night in the Section 3AA boys basketball title game.

MONTEVIDEO -- Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta overcame a 31-27 halftime deficit to top Pipestone Area 57-49 Friday night in the Section 3AA boys basketball title game.

Morris, the top seed from the north and the 10th-ranked Class AA team in the state, advanced to 19-2 with the victory. Pipestone Area, which made a second-half comeback to beat Windom Area 49-45 for the South Sub-section 3A crown, finished 11-11.
