Julio Casillas was 0-2 at 197, while Jonathan Musa was 0-2 at heavyweight.

"I thought we had some really good points," head coach Bob Purcell said. "Ryan Teal was in a match that would have put him in the finals against the kid who won it and he got taken down with five seconds left to go and lost. Seth McGregor lost 7-6 to Parker Branson, who took second in the nation last year at 197 pounds. For him, that was a pretty good match."

MW will travel to Iowa Central on Wednesday.

"It's looking good," Purcell said of the season. "We'll get the kids who are farming back in the lineup and the kids that are injured into the lineup and we'll be looking for a better season this year."
