LUVERNE — Blue Mounds State Park, Luverne, will host a Snake Patrick’s Day celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. March 14 at the picnic shelter in the park. Attendees will learn all about snakes with Park Naturalist Amber Brooks, make snake crafts and meet a real snake. People may stop in anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. for the come-and-go as you please adventure.
Brooks is also planning a Bunny Hop in the Park event from 1 to 3 p.m. April 4. This first-ever event includes learning about the world of rabbits, enjoying rabbit crafts and scouting for signs of these furry friends on the bunny hop trail. Participants will meet at the picnic shelter at the cart-in campsites. This is also a come-and-go as you please adventure.
Both events are free, but vehicle permits are required for entrance into the park. Daily permits and annual permits are available for purchase.
