JACKSON - Chris Gumto had three hits, scored twice and drove in two runs to lead Jackson County Central past Redwood Valley 7-5 Tuesday in a Big South Conference baseball game.
Avery Henderson scored twice, had a hit and stole two bases, while Darrius Johnson had a hit and scored a run for JCC. Carter Heinrichs added a two-run single in the Huskies’ four-run fourth inning.
James Pendleton scored twice for the Cardinals, who had three hits in the game.

ST. JAMES - Sam Huska was lights out for Windom.
The senior hurler allowed one run on four hits while walking three and striking out eight in a complete-game victory.
Devin Nielsen led the effort offensively. He had two hits and drove in three runs for the Eagles while Luke Gilbertson had a pair of hits and scored twice. Noah Kloss had two hits and drove in a run. Huska and Devin Homer each had an RBI for Windom.
Brady Stevens had an RBI for St. James.

SACRED HEART - In a low-scoring matchup, Renville County West’s Colin Thompson shut down the Adrian offense for a non-conference victory.
Thompson allowed one run on eight hits while striking out six.
Alex Loosbrock started for the Dragons, allowing one run while striking out five in four innings.
Michael Preuss and Jake Stammer also saw action for Adrian.
Stammer was 2-for-3 hitting with a double, while Nate Lonneman had a pair of hits. Stammer scored Adrian’s lone run in the fifth on a double steal.
Trent Kjersten had two hits to lead RCW.
Adrian (6-2) hosts Murray County Central Thursday.
