MOUNTAIN LAKE - Darrius Johnson, Chris Gumto and Nate Monson combined to throw a perfect game for Jackson County Central Monday.
Not that the Huskies needed it.

The visitors smashed 10 hits and scored 12 runs in the top of the first inning. Ten of those hits were singles as 16 total batters stepped into the box. Ryan Christopher and Keegan Klontz had the extra-base hits with a triple and a double, respectively.
That was more than enough for their pitching staff. Johnson started and struck out two in two innings. Gumto also fanned a pair over two innings of work before Monson struck out the side in the fifth.
Klontz went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple, four RBIs and four runs scored. Johnson was 3-for-3 with a three runs and three ribbies. Monson drove in five runs on three hits.
