SACRED HEART -- Adrian took a 1-0 lead against Renville County West in a non-conference baseball game on Thursday.

But the Jaguars scored three unanswered for a 3-1 victory.

Lace Luettel, Nathan Rahe, Marshall Wagner and Noah Reyne each saw time on the mound for Adrian.

Ian Stamer was 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and a run scored. Brent Hokeness had a double, while Reyne had a hit for the Dragons, who managed just three hits against the pitching of Brandon Hoberg, Corbin Wohlman and Tyler Froland. Hoberg was 4-for-4 at the plate with a double, triple and two runs scored.

The Dragons earned the second seed in the upcoming Section 3A tournament and will host seventh-seeded Russell-Tyler-Ruthton in the opening round on Saturday.
