WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Trojans' baseball team placed four seniors on the 2010 all-Southwest Conference baseball squad.

Catcher Steven Kremer, center fielder Cody Melendrez, left fielder Justin Larson and pitcher Mitch Jensen were all honored on the first team.

Senior right fielder Travis Meinders was an honorable mention selection for the Trojans (14-7, 8-4), who finished second in the conference standings behind Marshall, which had five players named to the league's first team.

Luverne had a pair of senior pitchers make the top squad -- Nick Meyer and Landon Gacke. Three more Cardinal seniors were honorable mentionees, including second baseman Trever Stoffel, shortstop Eric Kor and catcher Josh Boomgaarden.

Pipestone Area also had two first teamers in senior pitchers Brandan Alfson and Cody Schulze. The Arrows' Austin Lueck was an HM selection.

Jackson County Central catcher Ty Schwarting and Windom outfielder Joel Riordan (both juniors) rounded out the first team.

The Huskies' Trevon Bargfrede and the Eagles' Justin Axford made honorable mention.
