WORTHINGTON -- Two Luverne hockey players were named to the Associated Press 2012 Minnesota All-State Honorable Mention boys' hockey team.
Senior forward Cody Christensen and junior defenseman Austin Maxwell each made the squad.
Christensen finished the season with 19 goals, 26 assists and 45 points, while Maxwell had 16 goals and 32 assists for 48 points.
Each player was a member of the Luverne hockey team, which made it to the school's first-ever boys hockey section final. The Cardinals ended the season with a 21-4-2 record.
