TRACY - Visiting Adrian gave Tracy-Milroy-Balaton a short field in the first half and went in at halftime tied 13-13 in its high school football clash Friday. But the Dragons outscored the Panthers 14-0 in the second half to move their record to 2-0.
T-M-B’s two first half touchdown drives started on the AHS 10 and 30-yard lines due to fumbles. The first TD opened the game’s scoring as Elijah Koenig rambled in from five yards. The second came on a Brett Swenhaugen pass to Zach Seaton that covered 23 yards.
Inbetween the Panthers’ first half scores, Adrian found paydirt on an 11-yard scoring pass from sophomore quarterback Logan Rogers to Dillon John. Then before the half, Jordan Dingmann tacked on a 1-yard touchdown run. The teams were tied 13-13 at the half.
Adrian scored its last two touchdowns in the third quarter. Rogers carried in from 17 yards and Dingmann took it in from 25 yards.
Rogers finished with 122 yards passing with five completions in six attempts, with one interception. He also carried six times for 50 yards.
Tony Sieve and Jesse Slater led the Dragons with 14 tackles apiece.
Swenhaugen completed nine of 20 aerials for 102 yards and an interception. He added 90 yards rushing on 14 carries.
As a team, Adrian rushed for 110 yards and passed for 120. Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, now 1-1 on the season, rushed for 115 and passed for 132.
Both teams struggled with penalties. T-M-B was penalized 13 times for 80 yards and Adrian was penalized eight times for 100 yards.

S-O 34, Okoboji 20
SIBLEY, Iowa -Sibley-Ocheyedan improved to 2-0 on the football season with its second come-from-behind victory in two games.
The Generals trailed Okoboji - the only team they beat last season -12-7 at halftime before outscoring their rivals 27-8 in the second half.
Dalton Frick, a senior tailback, rushed for four touchdowns for Sibley-Ocheyedan and caught another for a score. His running TDs measured 10, 4, 2 and 35 yards and his TD reception from Owen Wiese was from 27 yards out.
Frick finished with 133 yards on 26 carries.
The Generals rushed 45 fimes for 138 yards in the game and completed six of 17 passes for 94 yards, with two interceptions. Okoboji rushed 24 times for 97 yards and completed nine of 21 passes for 118 yards, with a pair of interceptions.

Spencer 42, Sheldon 20
SPENCER -Outscoring visiting Sheldon 28-0 in the first quarter, Spencer rolled to victory over its northwest Iowa rivals.
Matt Finnem rushed for 146 yards and scored three touchdowns for the winners.
Sheldon scored all its points in the fourth quarter on a 34-yard run by Matt Buenger, a 1-yard run by Buenger and a 1-yard run by Hunter McDonald, with Buenger scoring the 2-point conversion.
Buenger finished with 97 yards rushing on 22 carries and McDonald carried 13 times for 40 yards. The two option teams amassed 576 yards rushing overall, with Spencer getting 366 and Sheldon 210.
Darin Greenfield had 12 tackles, two assists and a forced fumble to lead the Sheldon defense.
The Orabs, now 1-1 on the season, open district play Friday at home against Unity Christian.

JCC 26, Redwood 2
JACKSON -Keegan Moore totaled 108 yards on only 11 carries as the Jackson County Central Huskies defeated the Redwood Valley Cardinals 26-2 in Jackson.
Moore scored the first of his three touchdowns on a 54-yard run in the first quarter. Following Moore’s rushing score, JCC’s senior quarterback Shadrach Wacker tossed a 34-yard score to fellow senior Darnell Taylor-Breck.
JCC started the scoring in the second with Moore’s second touchdown of the evening. He broke through the Cardinal defenders en route to a 14-yard touchdown run to further increase JCC’s lead.
Redwood’s only score came off of a disputed safety following Moore’s score.
Moore finished the scoring with a three-yard run in the third. Neither team scored throughout the fourth quarter.
The Huskies’ Luke Norland carried the ball 15 times for a game total of 96 yards, and Taylor-Breck recieved 34 of Jackson’s 45 total passing yards. JCC totaled 318 yards rushing in the game, while the Cardinals passed for 129 yards, and had 41 yards on the ground.
Redwood (1-1) plays Worthington (0-2) next Friday in Redwood, and JCC (2-1) plays in Pipestone (2-1) on the same evening.

WINDOM - Turnovers, turnovers and more turnovers. With four turnovers in the first half alone, the Eagles couldn’t keep their offense on the field, eventually losing 24-14 to the Pipestone Area Arrows in Windom.
Pipestone took its first possession 72 yards down the length of the field, with Boyer Bouman scoring on a 1-yard QB sneak. Following an interception, Bowman repeated with a two-yard sneak, and with 49 seconds left in the half, Bowman scored his third touchdown on his third sneak.
After Windom’s first play on its next drive resulted in yet another pick, Pipestone’s first play resulted in a 30-yard toss from Bowman to Brayden Baartman, to push the score to 24-0 at the half.
Windom Area played a much better second half, with sophomore Devin Neilsen picking off Pipestone at the goal line. The Eagle’s marched 90 yards following the pick, culminating in a one-yard run by Ryley Espensen to put Windom on the scoreboard.
After forcing a three and out, the Eagles, with five seconds left on the clock, Windom’s Zach Bartosh tossed a four yard pass to Jacob Gotto.
Leading Pipestone rushing was Josh Allen, who, on 17 carries, totaled 100 yards. The Arrows totaled 169 yards rushing on 43 attempts throughout the game.
Windom’s Zach Bartosh finished 13-26 passing, with four interceptions.
Windom (1-1) hosts Blue Earth Friday, and Pipestone hosts Jackson.

W-WG 38, Fulda 20
Westbrook-Walnut Grove scored 26 points in the first half to Fulda’s zero, and W-WG went on the beat the Raiders 38-20.
Starting the scoring for the Chargers was senior tight-end Levi Bunting, who received a 12-yard pass from junior quarterback Tristan Joel. The two-point conversion following the touchdown was no good.
The duo of Bunting and Joel struck again later in the first quarter, this time a 30 yard toss.
Fullback Mitchell Jarmer scored two times in the second quarter, once on a three-yard run, and once on a 12-yarder, to increase W-WG’s lead to 26-0.
Fulda struck first in the third. Sophomore quarterback Brian Fenske threw to Josh Ramerth for a 32-yard score, however it was followed by another Charger touchdown, scored again by Jarmer - this time on a four yard run.
In the fourth, W-WG freshman Anthony Koch scored a three-yard touchdown. Fulda answered with Fenske throwing to Ramerth once again. Fenske snuck in following the score, to complete the two-point conversion.
With only 23 seconds remaining in the game, Jon Gehl ran 54 yards to cut into W-WG’s lead.
Fulda totaled 176 yards passing on 31 attempts, with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
W-WG had 56 carries in the game, and totaled 213 yards. They had 57 yards passing on 5 attempts, with two interceptions.
Fulda is now 0-2, and W-WG improves to 2-0.

HULL, Iowa -The Central Lyon/ George-Little Rock Lions scores 28 points to Hull Western Christian’s 9, as the Lions win on the road.
Jessie Hendricks started the scoring for Central Lyon, running 58 yards in the first quarter.
Central Lyon’s Tanner Bristey returned a 58 yard punt for a score, and following a jump at the line by Western Christian, the Lions scored on a two point conversion.
Central Lyon’s Hendricks scored two more times in the fourth quarter, once on a 64 yard run, and another on a 16 yarder.
Hendricks finished the night carrying the ball 11 times for 231 yards. The Lions rushed 37 times total in the game, for 268 yards. They were 1-11 passing, with two interceptions and only five yards.
The Lions take on Cherokee at home Friday.

BUFFALO CENTER, IOWA -Quarterback Dahlton Bardof was 16-31, with 171 yards passing, as the Harris-Lake Park Wolves lost to North Iowa 26-14.
Brady VanIperen and Skylar Cutmore scored the Wolves’ only two touchdowns, both on runs. VanIperen’s was a five yarder, and Cutmore’s was a one-yarder.
VanIperen finished the game with 49 yards and one touchdown. Bardorf was 16-31 passing, with 171 yards.
The Wolves finished with 171 yards passing, and 91 yards rushing on 31 attempts.
Harris-Lake Park plays Remson Union at home Friday. Their record stands at 1-1. North Iowa improves to 2-0.

Canby 28, MCC 14
SLAYTON -Canby held Murray County Central to zero net yards rushing on 22 carries and scored a touchdown in each quarter to claim a Little Sioux Conference victory.
The Lancers racked up 254 yards rushing themselves on 42 carries and gained 53 yards by passing as they moved the chains for 11 first downs.
MCC (1-1) had a total of 161 yards passing in the game as Seth Bass completed 11 of 28 throws for 101 yards and Mason Whitehead connected with Mitch Woldt for a 60-yard touchdown play for the Rebels in third quarter.
Bass ran in for MCC’s fourth-quarter touchdown on an eight-yard keeper and passed to Grant Rohrer (six catches, 69 yards) for the two-point conversion.
Derek Clarke had 13 tackles to lead MCC’s defense, while Mitch Reinsma, Logan Kluis and Nick Petersen were each credited with eight tackles.
John Halbur forced a fumble and was involved in a pair of sacks for the Rebels, who play Dawson-Boyd Friday.
