EDGERTON -- The Edgerton/Ellsworth football team made light work of opponents in the Southern Confederacy Conference on its way to a berth in the state championship.
The team's success on the field translated to postseason recognition, with the conference's Lineman of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year honors being received by the Flying Dutchmen.
Johnny Menning was named the conference's Lineman of the Year, Jordan Gunnink the conference's Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Andrew Fleischman was one of two coaches to receive Coach of the Year honors.
Menning and Gunnink also received all-conference honors, along with teammates Dylan Voge, Casey Schilling and Brady Timmer. Jonny Bouw and Adam LaFollette received honorable mentions.
Hills-Beaver Creek and Westbrook-Walnut Grove each had four all-conference selections and two honorable mentions.

H-BC also received further recognition, with Jordan Larson named as one of two recipients for Offensive Player of the Year honors.
For the Patriots, Larson, Dalton Bass, Taylor Leuthold, and Cory Tilstra all received all-conference honors, and Nathan Fransman and Joe Streeter received honorable mentions.
Receiving all-conference honors for the Chargers were Jake Comnick, Levi Brummer, Jared Lindaman and Aaron Theisen. Colin Vosberg and Nick Lehnhoff were the honorable mention recipients for the team.
Five T-M-B players named to Little Sioux All-Conference Team
TRACY -- The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton football team ended up in a three-way tie with Dawson-Boyd and Minneota for the Little Sioux Conference championship, which led all three schools to top the conference by receiving all-conference honors for five players.
Dawson-Boyd and Minneota dominated the conference's additional honors, but Adrian's Andrew Lonneman prevented the two schools from taking a clean sweep of the awards by being named the conference's Most Valuable Defensive Lineman.
For the Panthers, receiving all-conference honors were Shane Erickson, Dominic Dolan, Linch Her, Matt Wakefield and Taylor Hoffbeck. James Fultz and Jared Towne received all-academic honors.
In addition to Lonneman's honor, the Dragons had four players named all-conference.

They were Justin Wolf, Austin Wolf, Brock Bullerman and Mitchell Sieve. Lonneman and Dru Strand were Adrian's all-academic recipients.
Fulda and Murray County Central each had an all-conference player, as well as two all-academic players apiece.
Max Dibble was all-conference for the Raiders, and Alex Olsem and Cole Sinnamon were given all-academic honors.
Matt Reinsma was the Rebels' lone all-conference selection, with Matt Blomgren and Tyler Nepp named as the team's all-academic recipients.
