FULDA - In a high-scoring Southern Confederacy football game Friday night, the Raiders received offensive contributions from multiple players and capitalized on Southwestern United mistakes to claim the first victory of the year for Fulda with a 56-36 decision.
Fulda (1-2, 1-2) outscored SWU (1-2, 1-2) in every quarter except the final one and held a 36-16 lead at the half.
Senior quarterback Todd Peterson had a stand-out game for the Raiders as he passed for six touchdowns and completed 15-of-24 passes for 256 yards and an interception.
Nathan Getting (two catches for 56 yards), John Getting (five catches for 77 yards and a 2-point conversion) and Zachary Holt (five catches for 109 yards) each caught two touchdown passes for Fulda in the contest.

Trevor Ruesch rushed for two touchdowns and finished with 62 rushing yards on five carries, while Holt rushed nine times for 59 yards.
Also contributing offensively for the hosts was Mason Trejo, who caught three passes for 14 yards and also hauled in a pair of 2-point chances.
The Wildcats were paced offensively by Kurt Schmitz and his four rushing touchdowns and three conversions. Eric Haberman scored the Wildcats' other TD.
Fulda's defense recovered four fumbles and intercepted a pass in the contest. Ruesch had two solos, eight assists, and interception and a fumble recovery to lead the way, while John Getting (three solos, 12 assists) and Nathan Getting (five solos, 12 assists) were the leading tacklers.
Both teams host contests Friday as the Raiders take on Renville County West, while the Wildcats play Mountain Lake Area in Heron Lake.

MOUNTAIN LAKE - Tate Bork and Dalton Bass spearheaded a Hills-Beaver Creek rushing attack that scored three times on the ground in a tightly contested Southern Confederacy game with the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines Friday night.
Bork opened the Patriot scoring with 36-yard scamper on the first play from scrimmage and finished with 78 rushing yards on eight carries.
MLA (2-1, 2-1) countered later in the first when Carter Kirk rushed in a four-yard TD and then Kirk connected with Josiah Stoesz on the conversion to give the Wolverines an 8-6 lead.
Bass answered for H-BC (3-0, 3-0) with a seven-yard rushing TD in the second frame to give the Patriots the halftime advantage.
Following a scoreless third quarter, the Wolverines recapture the lead early in the fourth when Kirk rushed in another TD from one-yard out to give the hosts a 14-12 lead.
However, the Patriot defense set Bass up for another score following a Jeff Sandbulte blocked punt midway through the last period. Bass rumbled in on the following series for a six-yard score and also the 2-point conversion with four minutes left in the game to give H-BC the lead and the win.
Bass finished with 90 rushing yards on 25 carries, while quarterback Dylan Gehrke completed 5-of-15 passes for 30 yards.
Andrew Hempeck had a nice rushing game for the Wolverines with 74 yards on 17 carries, while Ryan Klassen proved to be a dual threat for MLA with 47 rushing yards on eight touches and 39 receiving yards with four catches.

In addition to Kirk's two rushing TDs, the junior quarterback finished with 28 rushing yards on six carries and 108 passing yards on an 8-for-28 completion percentage with three interceptions.
Vince Johnson led the Wolverines on defense with 15 tackles, while Levi Kass intercepted a pass. Kass also caught three passes for 22 yards.
H-BC's leading tackler was Nathan Taubert with nine, while Jeff Nelson had six, Zach Wagenaar (fumble recovery) had five and Gehrke and Sandbulte each had four tackles and an interception.
The Patriots travel to Alden-Conger Friday, while the Wolverines head to Heron Lake for a game with Southwestern United the same night.

Nicollet 28, W-WG 12
WESTBROOK -- Aided by five turnovers -- three interceptions and two fumbles -- along with nine penalties, the undefeated Nicollet Raiders (3-0) utilized a solid rushing attack to defeat Westbrook-Walnut Grove by 16 points.

The Raiders, who scored a pair of third-quarter touchdowns and made all four of their extra-point kicks, pounded out 189 yards on the ground on 49 attempts and also completed 12-of-24 passes for 96 yards, giving them a total of 285 yards from scrimmage.
The Chargers (2-1) were held to just 107 yards on 36 carries and gained 112 yards through the air on the 7-of-23 passing of John Elzenga for a total of 219 yards.
Dana Madson, who had a team-leading 16 tackles and a pass interception, rushed 17 times for 71 yards, while Andy Merrick gained 36 yards on 10 carries.
Aaron Hass caught three passes for 70 yards, including a 35-yarder which set up W-WG's third-quarter TD (a one-yard run by Madson).
The Chargers scored in the first quarter --following a turnover --on a three-yard touchdown pass from Elzenga to Hass.
Tyler Schoborg had a big defensive game for W-WG, coming up with 12 tackles, including two sacks, while Shane Buchman (two catches for 13 yards) had eight tackles and recovered a fumble for the Chargers, who play at Edgerton Friday.

RRC 21, Wabasso 20
WABASSO - The Wabasso Rabbits scored with 1:10 left in the contest to take their first lead of the game at 20-13 in a Southern Minnesota Conference football clash with the Red Rock Central Falcons Friday night.
However, the Falcons, who led for most of the game before the final Rabbit score, weren't done as Brady Bierl completed five passes to drive the visitors the length of the field and capped off by an 18-yard pass to Jeff DeCock for a touchdown with four seconds left on the clock.
Mitchell Schroepfer punched in the 2-point conversion to regain the lead and securing the road win for RRC.
Schroepfer scored all of the Falcons points in the first half as he ran in a seven-yard score and kicked the PAT in the first quarter, while helping the visitors keep a 13-6 advantage into halftime with a nine-yard TD strike in the second frame.
However, the Rabbits countered with the next 14 points with two trips to the end zone in the fourth quarter with Blake Altermatt scoring the go-ahead TD and conversion before the Falcons' late-game heroics.
RRC (1-2, 1-2) travels to Comfrey Friday for a conference battle with Cedar Mountain/Comfrey.

Adrian 40, Lakeview 8
COTTONWOOD - Jake Tiede scored four first-quarter touchdowns as the Adrian Dragons scored 34 points in the opening frame en route to a lopsided Little Sioux Conference win over Lakeview Friday night.
Tiede rushed for 102 yards on 10 carries with TD runs of 16-, 11- and nine-yards, while also returning a punt 60 yards to pay dirt. The senior back scored four of Adrian's five touchdowns in the first quarter.
Jordan Dingmann rushed for the other Adrian score in the first quarter and added another in the third with an 18-yard run. Dingmann finished with 90 yards rushing on nine touches and also scored a 2-point conversion following the first Dragon TD.
Nate Loosbrock passed for the early conversion, while finishing with three receptions for 52 yards for the Dragons.
Defensively, Jake Diekmann recorded 10 tackles, Cody Polzine intercepted a pass and Jesse Slater finished with three quarterback sacks for Adrian.
The Dragons (3-0, 3-0) travel to Slayton Friday for a conference clash with the Murray County Central Rebels.

Canby 35, MCC 14
CANBY -- Not only did the Canby Lancers get their third win of the season over MCC Rebels Friday, but fullback Wyatt Kraus (263 yards, 4 TD) also broke the school record for career rushing yards. The old record was 3,258 and Kraus broke the record early in the first half.
The Rebels outscored the Lancers 14-8 in the first quarter on two touchdown runs. The first was a 38-yard TD by Jack Thony (74 yards rushing) and the other was a one-yard run by Mitch Riensma. Canby scored its only points of the first quarter on a 17-yard TD run by Kraus.
The Lancers were able to hold the Rebels off the board in the second quarter, while picking up two touchdowns to take a 22-14 lead into halftime. The first TD came off of a nine-yard run by QB Michael Sisk (3-for-11, 18 yards). The second was another TD by Kraus, this time a one-yard run into the end zone.
In the third quarter, Kraus picked up his third TD of the game on a two-yard run to put the Lancers up 29-14. Kraus also picked another TD in the fourth on a one-yard run to put the game away.
The Lancers had 322 rushing yards total compared to the Rebels 240. Neither team passed for many yards, with Canby only picking up 18 yards and MCC getting 24.
Canby was able to force three fumbles while only losing the ball once themselves. Austin Campbell had 15 tackles for the Lancers and Tate Citrowske picked up 12.
MCC hosts Adrian Friday, while Canby travels to MACCRAY.

LAKE PARK, Iowa - The Harris-Lake Park Wolves posted 49 first-half points and cruised to an 8-man football win over Whiting in District 1 play Friday night.
Colin Brons facilitated the Wolves' attack as the senior quarterback completed all six of his pass attempts for 123 yards with five of the passes going for scores. Brons also kicked four PATs.
Eli Ihnen (11 tackles) caught three passes for 44 yards with all of them going for touchdowns from Brons. Ihnen had TD catches for 24- and 6-yards in the first quarter and added a 14-yard score in the second frame.
Kade Heikens opened the game's scoring for H-LP with a 53-yard punt return to pay dirt and added two more touchdowns in the game with a 10-yard run in second and a 34-yard reception in the third. The senior back rushed five times for 42 yards.
Tanner Hiveley caught a 26-yard pass from Brons in the second quarter and finished with two catches for 45 yards and five rushes for 46 yards.
Brady Van Iperen also had a good game for the Wolves as he scored on a 40-yard run in the first quarter and completed the hosts scoring with a two-yard plunge in the fourth quarter.
Ryan Gembler recorded two sacks for the H-LP defense, while Hiveley and Van Iperen each had a sack.
The Wolves (3-1, 2-0) host Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Friday.

Sheldon 51, Cherokee 7
SHELDON, Iowa - The Sheldon Orabs improved to 3-1 overall after dismantling Cherokee-Washington in a Class 2A, District 1 Iowa football game Friday night.
The hosts scored 39 points in the first half, while taking a shutout into the break and allowing a lone visitor score in the third quarter.
Chris Balster completed 6 of his 12 passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns with TD passes going to Matt Dykstra (26 yards to start the game's scoring), Nathan Oostra (68 yards) and Tom Brown (32 yards).
Oostra (76 yards), Brown (62 yards) and Dykstra (43 yards) each caught two passes from Balster.
Hunter McDonald led the Orabs in rushing with 110 yards on 14 carries and scored a TD with a one-yard run and added another with a 62-yard punt return TD.
Tanner Whitsell scored a 17-yard rushing touchdown for Sheldon in the first quarter, while Jesse Meendering completed the host's scoring with a fumble recovery in the end zone in the fourth quarter.
Dykstra paced the Orabs on defense with one solo tackle, four assists and two sacks.
Sheldon (3-1, 2-0) hosts Central Lyon/George-Little Rock in a district clash Friday.
