HILLS -- Dalton Bass scored four touchdowns and three two-point conversions, helping undefeated Hills-Beaver Creek (5-0) roll to a 54-16 victory Friday night -- dominating the second half in a Southern Confederacy 9-man football game against Fulda (2-3).
Bass rushed 20 times for 171 yards, caught a pass for a 16-yard gain and rambled 87 yards for a touchdown on a punt return.
Tate Bork carried the ball 11 times for 73 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns.
Dylan Gehrke was 12-of-14 passing for 192 yards, including tossing six to Jeff Sandbulte for 95 yards and a 45-yard completion to Carey Taubert.
Sandbulte had a team-best eight tackles for the Patriots, while Nathan Taubert came up with four tackles and blocked a Fulda punt.

Bork (four tackles) and Jacob Conger (two tackles) combined for a sack, while Jared Lingen had a pair of tackles and a sack.
Bass scored the game's first touchdown on a five-yard run.
In a high-scoring second quarter, the Patriots crossed the goal line three times as Bork's eight-yard TD run was followed by a pair of one-yard touchdowns by Bass.
Gehrke rushed for a two-point conversion and passed to Sandbulte for another, while Bass also converted a two-pointer in H-BC's 24-point outburst.
Fulda scored both its touchdowns in that second period, getting a three-yard TD run by Zach Holt and an 84-yard kick return for six points by Trevor Ruesch.
Holt (12 carries for 26 yards) scored the two-point conversion after Ruesch's touchdown and Ruesch crossed the goal line after Holt's TD.
Todd Peterson was 10-of-19 passing for 76 yards for Fulda, but the Raiders were held to 36 total yards (19 carries) on the ground.
John Getting (42 yards) and Holt (27 yards) each caught three of Peterson's passes.

The Patriots, who rushed 41 times for 270 yards, scored in the third quarter on the long punt return by Bass and tacked on the two-point conversion on a Gehrke to Sandbulte pass play.
Gehrke tossed TD passes to Sandbulte (10 yards) and Bork (29 yards) in the fourth quarter with Bass bolting in for the two-point conversion after each.
Fulda hosts Edgerton/Ellsworth next Friday night, while H-BC travels to Brewster the same night to tangle with the Southwestern United Wildcats.

SLAYTON - Jack Thony and Mitch Reinsma spearheaded a Murray County Central rushing attack that ran roughshod over the Lakeview Lakers Friday night during the Rebels' Homecoming game.
Thony (10 rushes for 204 yards) provided MCC with its first three touchdowns as the senior tailback ripped off runs of 41 and 25 yards in the first quarter and added a 38-yard scamper in the second quarter.

Reinsma (10 rushes for 153 yards) added the 2-point conversion following each of Thony's scores and then snapped off a 27-yard scoring run to give the Rebels a 30-point lead at the half.
MCC had its lead extended by Reinsma in the third quarter on a 60-yard run, while Ben Loosbrock (six carries for 63 yards) scored the Rebels' final TD with a 44-yard run. Mitchell Woldt kicked successful PATs following both of MCC's third-quarter touchdowns.
Logan Kluis led MCC with 14 tackles followed by Devin Miranowski with 11 tackles (two for a loss), Grant Bose with nine tackles (one for a loss) and Kyle Vos with eight tackles.
Miranowski also intercepted a pass for the Rebel defense, while Max Whitehead recorded two quarterback sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
MCC (2-3 overall and in the Little Sioux Conference) hosts MACRAY Friday.

LUVERNE - Racking up nearly 500 total yards of offense, the Luverne Cardinals played rude hosts to the Windom Eagles in a Southwest Conference football game Friday night.
The Cardinals rushed for 372 yards and added another 119 through the air, while limiting the Eagles to 67 rushing yards and 58 passing yards.
Despite just one carry, Trenton Rops led Luverne with 93 rushing yards and a touchdown.
A total of 13 Cardinals rushed the ball in the contest with Alex Weis leading the way in touches with 83 yards on seven carries. Weis added two receptions for 64 yards and a TD.
Luverne also received TD runs from Skyler Wenninger (three rushes for 48 yards), Eli Dooyema (five rushes for 45 yards) and Kendall Meyer.
Matt Arends and Matt Overgaard added TD catches for the hosts, while Wenninger completed two of his seven passes for 40 with both of his completions going for scores and Brett Heronimus passed for 79 yards and a TD on a three-for-four night.
Reed Skattum and Cole Walgrave recorded sacks for the Cardinal defense, while Heronimus and Meyer each picked off a pass.
Windom was led by Michael Rivera (58 passing yards, 24 rushing yards), Cody Jurgens (38 rushing yards) and Jacob Gotto (45 receiving yards).

CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa - Kade Heikens combined for 262 yards from scrimmage and scored four touchdowns to lead the Harris-Lake Park Wolves to an 8-Man Iowa football victory over River Valley Friday night in District 1.
Heikens rushed for 181 yards and scored two rushing TDs on 10 carries and added 81 receiving yards on three catches and two scores for the Wolves.
The senior back opened the game's scoring when he hauled in a 48-yard pass from Colin Brons and H-LP rolled from there, allowing the hosts to visit the end zone just once.
Brons added three more touchdown passes in the opening half and finished the contest with 118 yards on a 9-for-12 effort and four TDs. Brons also added a 26-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Eli Ihnen (four catches for 22 yards) caught a two-yard pass from Brons, while Brady Van Iperen had a five-yard TD reception and Heikens added another TD catch (33 yards) before the intermission.
Tanner Hiveley (eight rushes for 56 yards and two TDs) kept the visitors rolling out of the break as he returned the second-half kickoff 55 yards for a touchdown and later added scores of six and two yards. Heikens scored his fourth touchdown of the game in the third quarter on a 44-yard run.
Hiveley led the Wolves on defense with 22 tackles and a sack, while Ihnen added 15 tackles and Brons recorded a sack to go with 11 tackles.

EDGERTON -- Austin LaFollette led the Edgerton/Ellsworth Flying Dutchmen to a victory over Southwestern United Wildcats with 88 yards on four carries and three touchdowns, including a punt return, Friday night in Edgerton.
E/E scored 30 points in the first quarter and then piled on another 38 points in the second to take a 68-0 lead going into half time.
The Dutchmen would not score again, but their defense was also able to hold the Wildcats to just six points in the second half to get the win.
Tyler Kurrasch carried the ball four times for 61 yards for E/E and picked up two touchdowns on the night. Blake Jouwstra (41 yards), Jorge Lopez (48 yards) and Jesse Berning (28 yards) all had rushing touchdowns for the Dutchmen offense that put up 301 rushing yards on the Wildcats.
Isaac Heard was 6 of 11 for 97 yards on the night, while Andy Menning took a fumble recovery for a touchdown for the E/E defense. Lopez led the defense with seven tackles with Derek Claar adding six tackles and a sack. Devin Hulstein rounded out the Dutchmen defense with an interception.
SWU was only able to pick up 20 yards on the ground in the first half and ended the game with 87 total rushing yards with Kurt Schmitz leading the team with 27 yards. The Wildcats went 5 of 20 on the night passing for 62 yards.
The Dutchmen head to Fulda Friday and the Wildcats host Hills-Beaver Creek.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa --Josh Hunt carried the football 32 times for 269 yards, including touchdown runs of six, 54, 15 and 20 yards as Central Lyon/George-Little Rock rallied for a 19-point victory over Estherville Lincoln Central on Homecoming at Dick Null Field.
The Lions ground out a total of 489 yards rushing on 68 carries and Jesse Markus completed three passes for 78 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown pass to Kalvin Popkes early in the fourth quarter.
Markus picked up 91 yards on the ground on 15 carries and Luke Grooters --who kicked all six CL/G-LR extra points --gained 29 yards on six rushes, including a nine-yard touchdown run.
For the second week in a row, Austin Hayenga intercepted two passes to help stop ELC drives, as he positioned himself and outjumped the Midgets' intended receiver. One of Hayenga's picks was at the Lions' five-yard stripe.
Brent Klingenberg and Ethan Christians each had five solo tackles and three assists to lead a Lions' defense, which did not allow a touchdown in either the first or fourth quarters.
The Midgets (1-5), however did rack up a total of 400 yards -- 200 on the ground (26 carries) and 200 through the air (eight of 20) --and held a 20-14 lead early in the third quarter before the Lions rallied by scoring 28 of the game's final 31 points.
CL/G-LR (4-2, 3-1) travels to Orange City next Friday for another Class 2A, District 1 clash against Unity Christian.

MOUNTAIN LAKE --After Mountain Lake Area scored first, the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers responded with a well-executed drive, capped by Dana Madson's one-yard touchdown plunge -- and tacked on the two-point conversion run by Andy Merrick -- taking an 8-6 lead in a Southern Confederacy 9-man football game at Munson Field.
But the high-powered Wolverines unleashed a dominating rushing attack the rest of the way, scoring 44 unanswered points and improved to 4-1 for the season.
Andrew Hempeck returned to action after missing a game with an injured leg and rushed 12 times for 119 yards to lead MLA, while Ryan Klassen (14 rushes for 71 yards), Carter Kirk (10 carries for 79 yards) and DeMar Rodney (six rushes for 67 yards) also had big games on the ground for the Wolverines, who racked up over 350 yards rushing.
Klassen scored MLA's first touchdown on a 21-yard scamper.
Kirk's four-yard touchdown pass to Eric Wenner gave the Wolverines the lead in the second quarter and four-yard touchdown runs by Hempeck and Klassen, along with a pair of two-point conversion passes (Kirk to Josiah Stoesz and Kirk to Wenner), gave MLA a commanding 30-8 halftime lead.
In the third quarter, Kirk capped a drive with a four-yard touchdown run and Rodney crossed the goal line for the two-point conversion.
Rodney (eight yards) and Zach Dickens (two yards) each scored fourth-quarter TDs for the Wolverines with Caleb Bargen booting the extra-point kick after both scores.
The Wolverines recovered three W-WG fumbles in the game and also intercepted four passes as Stoesz, Josh Grev, Klassen and Alex Gerdes each picked off a Charger aerial.
W-WG (2-3) hosts Renville County West Friday, while MLA travels to Randolph.
