SLEEPY EYE -- The Jackson County Central girls' basketball team is apparently seeing how many turnovers it is possible to force in a single game.

After forcing 33 turnovers against Sleepy Eye on Friday, the Huskies forced 35 turnovers in a 66-24 win over Sleepy Eye Saint Mary's on Saturday.

JCC's ability to force turnovers allowed the team to score 36 of its points in transition.

Whitney Burmeister led the team with 15 points, 13 rebounds and seven steals, and also added four assists.

Courtney Kruse scored 14 points for the Huskies, Leslie Handzus scored 12 points, had six assists and had four steals, and Kaylee Benson had 11 points and six steals.
