MINNEWASKA -- The Worthington girls' soccer team is having déjà vu all over again.
For the third successive time the team went on a long road trip for a match, and for the third successive time they lost by a score of 2-1, this time to Minnewaska Area.
The Trojans went down 1-0 in the 27th minute on a goal by Lakers star Kaylyn Oberg.
Nicole Ektnitphong equalized the game in the 56th minute. Her shot from the left side of the goal found the far right corner of the net for her third goal in the past three matches.
However, with 11 minutes left Oberg scored again to bring the Lakers up 2-1. A late strike by Ektnitphong with 15 seconds left came just short of bringing another equalizer, leaving the Lakers with the victory.

Minnewaska, 9-2-1 on the season, was the latest of a tough string of opponents for the Trojans.
"The last week and a half we have been playing well," head coach Smitty Ektnitphong said. "This is something we can build on looking forward to next week and perhaps into the section tourney."
The Trojans will look to gain their first road victory of the season when they play at Fairmont on Monday.
