LAKEFIELD - The Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots bested the Heron Lake-Okabena Wildcats 207-252 Friday afternoon in high school golf. Trevor Paulsen was medalist for H-BC with a nine-hole score of 48.
Close behind Paulsen was Preston Maassen with a 50. Completing the Patriots’ team score were Stuart Plimpton 52, and Dylon Taubert 57.
The top four scores for H-LO came from Ben Shedahl (54), Wyatt Schumacher (63), Kaleb Sydnes (66), and Ethan Koep (69).
Fulda vs. Windom
WINDOM - In both the boys and girls competitions the Windom Area Eagles came away with victories. The Eagle boys won 180-200, and the girls won 194-236.
Hallie Will (44) of Windom Area was the girls medalist. Finishing up Windom’s team score were Paige Pigman (45), Emily Jackson (48), and Leigh Hanefeld (57).
Leading the Fulda girls was sophomore Emily Schroer with a 54. Not far behind Schroer was Lynneigh Vrooman with 60, followed by Tayler Warborg (61), and Katelyn Renneke (61).
On the boys’ side, Tylan Porath of Windom fired a low round of 38 to lead the Eagles. Close behind Porath were Sam Diemer (46), Jacob Cory (46), Ryan Franz (50).
For Fulda Cory Renneke and Brandon Everett shot a pair of 49’s, followed by Aaron Hulstein (51), and Tyler Madison (51).
