MOUNTAIN LAKE - Anneke Weg fired a medalist round of 49 to lead the Worthington girls golf team to a victory over Red Rock Central Thursday afternoon.
The Trojans carded a team score of 211, while RRC had 241.
After Weg’s medalist round, Bailey Weg and Rachel Koller each finished with a round of 55. Ashley Hoefker rounded out the scoring for WHS with a 56.
For the Falcons, Maria Johnson had a 55, while Carley Baumann fired a 56. Courtney Teveldal had a 61 and Lexi Island carded a 69 for the Falcons.
On the boys side, the Trojans had a team score of 168. Red Rock Central finished with a 217 and Mountain Lake Area had a 261.
Trojan Tyler Van Hove carded a 38 to win medalist honors. Ben Koepsell and Jacob Prunty each had a 43. Nathoe Vorasane rounded out the scoring with a 44.
Red Rock Central was led by Max Miller’s 49. Jaden Prechel had a 54. Mountain Lake’s top scorer was Ryan Pedersen with a 53.
The Trojans are at Fairmont for an invitational on Saturday.
MCC vs. HL-O
LAKEFIELD - Jack Pierson shot a 40 to propel the Murray County Central boys to a 188-256 victory over Heron Lake-Okabena, but the Wildcats won the girls’ portion of the meet 211-229 as Brooke Freking shot a 46.
Tyler Groves had a 42, Brad Schreiber a 45 and Cole Ahlers a 61 for the MCC boys. Ben Sheldahl led HL-O with a 56 while Matthew Bartosh had 60, Wyatt Schumacher 68 and Ethan Untiedt 72.
Sarah Madsen (51), Haley Ruesch (55) and Sam Freking (59) aided the HL-O girls. Abby Hamman (47), Destinee Miranowski (55), Paige Behrends (57) and Amber Boock (70) led the MCC girls.
LHS vs. RV
LUVERNE - It took all six scores to decide the outcome of the Luverne and Redwood Valley boys golf meet.
In the end, Luverne’s Jacob VanSanten’s 52 proved to be the difference. The first four scores for each team added up to a 178, and with the fifth golfers on both teams firing a 50, it went to the final golfer.
Coy Gonnerman led Luverne with a medalist round of 39, while Chaz Smedsrud had a 40. Carter Stemper finished with a 49, while Max Skattum and Jack Baustian both had a 50 for the home team.
On the girls side, Luverne had a 196, while Redwood Valley was incomplete.
Hailey Remme had a 48 to lead Luverne, while Madison Crabtree and Jenna Zewiske each had a 49. Makayla Sterrett had a 50.
Adrian vs. H-BC
ADRIAN - Ryan Elias had a three-over 39 to earn medalist honors and lead Adrian past Hills-Beaver Creek 185-201 in a boys golf dual.
Brady Henning added a 46, while Mitchell Veld had a 47 and Landon Runia had a 53 for the Dragons.
H-BC was led by Stuart Plimpton and Preston Maassen, who each had a 47. Dylon Taubert had a 53 and Trevor Paulsen finished with a 54 for the Patriots.
