NEW ULM - Jackson County Central got off to a strong start Tuesday with a 133.3-129 victory over Big South Conference foe New Ulm.
It was a big night for sophomore Abby Schneekloth. She finished the evening with a pair of first-place finishes and was twice a runner-up to take the All-Around victory.
Schneekloth took a victory on the vault with a 9.325 and on the bars at 8.575. She was second on the balance beam (8.4) and the floor (8.825).
Haley Bass had a nice night as well. She was first on the balance beam with a 9.075 and third in the vault at 9.025.
Sophie Johnson took third at 8.275 in the balance beam as the Huskies swept that event. They also swept the top three spots on the floor. Brooklyn Schuett won the event with an 8.95 and Hailey Handevidt (8.675) finished third.
JCC will host Pipestone Area at 6 p.m. Thursday for its annual Flippin’ for a Cure cancer fundraiser.
