NORTHRUP - Ida Rogers-Ferguson hit a solo home run and a grand slam to lead Heron Lake-Okabena to a one-sided 16-1 win against Granada-Huntley-East Chain in high school softball Friday.
Ferguson also pitched the last four innings to combine on a two-hitter with starting pitcher Tessla Crowell.
Crowell also had herself an outstanding overall day, going 4-for-4 at the plate with five RBIs. Sam Obermoller was 4-for-4 with two RBIs. Madison Leighty was 3-for-4 and Jessica Van Westen had two hits.
HL-O collected 17 hits in the five-inning game and improved to 4-6 on the season.
