SLEEPY EYE -- Luverne is playing its best right now.
And that was bad news for River Valley.
The Cardinals earned a 5-2 victory Tuesday night in a girls' tennis match.
"We are really playing some of our best tennis right now," Luverne head coach Greg Antoine said. "They are a good team and they have played some tough opponents. Their doubles teams are really having a good year but we managed to sweep them."
At No. 1 doubles, Cathryn Hartz and Hilary Deragisch won 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 3-0 (retired) to give Luverne a victory.

"The chemistry of our doubles teams is really carrying us," Antoine said. "We hit the ball as well (Tuesday) as we have all season."
