PREP TENNIS: Worthington's girls' tennis team falls on road to Redwood Valley

At No. 1 singles, Sabrina Klein lost to Kathleen Perry, 6-0, 6-0.

Katie Ellingworth defeated Emily Williamson 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, while Kate Lesnar fought hard, but lost 7-5, 6-2 against Abby Schmidt at No. 3 singles.

Breanna Kempema lost 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.

In doubles' competition, Elizabeth Luke and Heather Loy lost to Morgan Tholkes and Tiffany Raddatz 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1.

At No. 2, Rachel Drietz and Ashley Jansma lost 6-1, 6-0.

Brandi Amberg and Madison Tholkes earned a 6-1, 6-2 win against Kirsten Aljets and Makensie Carstensen at No. 3 doubles.

In exhibition play, Annie Lesnar and Katherine Luke lost 6-1, while Erika Schutte and Paige Stewart lost 7-5.

The Trojans will host Yellow Medicine East on Monday.
