ST. CLOUD - Twenty eight volleyball players from around the state will be suiting up as a high schooler one last time on Wednesday at the 2015 Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association All-Star Match.
All 28 of those players were either All-State or Honorable Mention All-State following the 2014 season. Among them are four area players and one coach.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton libero Anna Peterson will be playing as part of the Red Team All-Stars. Helping coach her will be Panthers head coach Katie Gervais. The two helped guide T-M-B to a second-place finish at state last season. Also coaching the Red Team is Franz Boelter, a native of Windom who won the Class A state title at Bethlehem Academy.
Jackson County Central will have two representatives on the White Team All-Stars. Kaylee Burmeister and Kathryn Nasby - an outside hitter and a libero, respectively - will play on the white team. Joining them will be Heron Lake-Okabena outside hitter Courtney Place.
The 28 players are divided into three teams and will play two matches each. Games begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Cloud State University.
