The Adrian/Ellsworth high school baseball team out-slugged Edgerton/Southwest Christian 11-8 on Tuesday. But the softball team lost to E/SWC in Ellsworth by a 13-0 score as the Flying Dutchmen's Paris Van Dyke threw five solid innings to pick up the win.
And in another softball game, Luverne dominated Fairmont 13-3.
Van Dyke struck out nine batters. She also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI. Teammate Brenalyn Smit went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.
Claire Hoffman was 2-for-3 for Adrian/Ellsworth.
In baseball, A/E out-hit Edgerton/Southwest Christian 15-4 in Edgerton. Takoby Mack was 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, and Quentin Wolf added three hits.

Skyler Feikema was 3-for-3 with a home run for E/SWC.
In Luverne, the host team out-hit the visitors 14-6. Gracie Nath was the winning pitcher and struck out 14. Billi Connell was the hitting star, going 4-for-5 with a double.
In baseball on Tuesday, Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove trimmed Murray County Central 2-1 in Lamberton. Hudsen Jenniges had two RBIs for the Falcons.
