E/SWC, Pipestone Area softball teams split

PIPESTONE — Edgerton/Southwest Christian and Pipestone Area split a softball doubleheader Friday as the Flying Dutchmen won the opener 4-2 and Pipestone Area came back to win the second game 5-3.
Paris Van Dyke pitched a complete game for the first game victory, allowing three hits and one earned run.
A single by Kathryn Prins scored Morgan Pap, and Prins scored on a single by Kinsie Nelson. With the score tied 2-2, Van Dyke hit a solo homer. Two batters later, Pap homered for the final of 4-2.
Pap also hit a solo homer in the second game.
