RUTHTON — Aiden Wichmann had three hits in four at bats and Cody Wichmann earned the mound victory as Russell-Tyler-Ruthton defeated Adrian/Ellsworth 8-6 Friday in high school baseball action.
Quentin Wolf was 3-for-3 with Adrian/Ellsworth. Dawson Krahling took the loss.

MOUNTAIN LAKE — Madelyn Koep carded a 44 to lead Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda-Westbrook-Walnut Grove to a 216-228 win over Murray County Central in high school golf.
For the boys, HL-O/F-W-WG scored 188 points while Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey had 209 and Murray County Central 240.
Sawyer Drent and Carter Drent had scores of 43 and 44, respectively, for HL-O/F-W-WG. Teammate Nick Kuehl had a 47.
