Though the Trojans (1-10) made some valiant efforts to secure their first victory since the second game of the season, the Arrows simply proved to be too much.

“I think we played with a lot of energy tonight,” said WHS head coach CJ Nelson. “Pipestone, they’re a good team. They’ve got some size, and they knocked down some shots.”
Abagotte Opiew paced Worthington with 20 points.
Nelson praised the play of junior center Charles Brands for his defense and junior forward Cooper McCoy for his rebounding. But as a team, Nelson said, the Trojans need to do a better job of crashing the boards.
“We’ve got a home game Tuesday against Jackson. It’s Meet the Trojans,” said Nelson. “We’re beginning to trust each other more, and we can build on that.”
